What is Basic Copy Editing
Editing your work is the single most expensive part of your package. We provide what is called Basic Copy Editing, in all three packages. Please note that in Basic Copy Editing we do not re-write, ghost write, or revise your work. Things we check for are: correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax. We will not: Restructure sentences, alter word choices, except in the case of errors, or offer developmental suggestions. We endeavor to leave your work as original, and written by you as we can. Basic Copy Editing is a one time past, which means it is only checked once. We recommend you have someone you know to give your work an initial look over before submitting it to us, like the local high school English teacher or some other knowledgeable person of the English language. Remember, your work is a reflection on you and your abilities, sentence structure, paragraph structure, and other parts of the writing process are a part of that. Also realize that you can “Edit To Death,” and literally spend thousands of dollars on a manuscript and still have mistakes in it.
Manuscripts over 50,000 words will be charged an extra .025¢ per word in addition to the package price.
